1. Surface Preparation: A clean roof is critical for adhesion. Power wash the surface to remove all dirt, dust, grease, algae, and loose debris. Ensure the roof is completely dry before application. Patch any existing cracks, seams, or holes with a compatible roof patching mastic and reinforcing fabric.
2. Application: Apply Permakote Plus on a clear, dry day when temperatures are between 50°F and 90°F. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours. The coating can be applied using a heavy-duty airless sprayer, a thick-nap roller (3/4″ to 1 1/4″), or a roofing brush.
3. Curing: Apply the first coat and allow it to dry completely (typically 12–24 hours). Apply the second coat in a cross-directional pattern (perpendicular to the first coat) to ensure a flawless, pinhole-free waterproof seal.
